Why should I visit Mallorca

This beautiful island is our go to choice for city action when we crave more than just Ibiza’s boutique shopping scene and need some bright lights. Palma’s cobbled streets, designer boutiques and incredible restaurants are a good place to start but the island as a whole has become one of the world’s best holiday destinations, offering something for everyone.

Our team in Mallorca is led by Kay Perry who has lived there for over nearly 20 years and knows it inside out:

‘Perfect for families, it doesn’t matter if its culture, adventure or the stunning beaches you are after. Mallorca offers it all. A day in Palma exploring the small boutiques and museums, stopping for tapas in Santa Catalina Market is always a pleasure. Who can beat Champagne and oysters on a Saturday whilst buying fresh caught fish.

If I want to escape from it all I take my bike and cycle along the West coast, with spectacular views and some challenging climbs, with a stop of in Deia for a cooling swim in a small Cala. At the weekend I often head to the Serra de Tramontana Mountains (a world heritage site) with a group of friends to eat in a hilltop village restaurant after a morning hike. I just love Mallorca’s diversity. With 20 marinas and 23 golf courses you really are spoilt for choice’
